Introducing the Bromma floral ceramic tile from Uppsala Ekeby.
This striking, thick ceramic tile features a large flower at its center, surrounded by leaf-shaped designs.
The design is by Irma Yourstone. She created many other works, including romantic and fairytale-like ceramic tiles and figurines. She later founded Yourstone Keramik in the city of Halmstad.
Her work was produced at Uppsala Ekeby for only one year, from 1971 to 1972.
Other colors include yellow, orange, purple, and dark blue. The one introduced here is a very rare purple. The gradation from deep to light purple on the petals is a magnificent and rare color.
