Kåsa (Kasa) is a wooden cup from northern Sweden that was originally used for drinking water. It was also rarely used for various other purposes, such as interior decoration.
This particular piece is a wonderful work of art, featuring a finely carved horse head and a horse's tail design on the handle. It is meant to be displayed as an interior decoration.
There are various types of Kåsa, from those simply carved out of wood to those that are carved and then embellished with further carvings.
This piece is made by hollowing out wood and has a very fine, smooth texture.
Please display it or use it for various purposes as your ideas dictate.
