This is a Mother's Day year plate from Royal Copenhagen.
Mother's Day plates were only produced from 1971 to 1982. This is the 1976 plate. It's a decorative plate, so it has a wire on the back for hanging.
The design is by Danish illustrator Arne Ungemann Jorgensen.
This plate features a heartwarming design of a mother and child mermaid from Andersen's famous fairy tale, where the little girl is presenting a hair ornament to her mother.
