Jackie Lynd, who was responsible for the design of many tableware items at Rörstrand from 1974 to 1990, designed pieces such as Birgitta, Isolde, and Japonica. She also created numerous other works. In 1971, all designers at Rörstrand left, and many of them began working as freelancers. Jackie Lynd was one of them, and this "Blues" series is a collection she launched as an original design for DUKA, a major Swedish chain store that sold tableware, glass, and all kinds of ceramics, from 1980 to the 1990s after she became a freelancer. It is no longer sold. The blue vertical lines and the marble-patterned blue of the saucer match perfectly, making it a very beautiful piece.
