Old Gustavsberg / Öresund / Sauce Jar

Introducing a sauce jar from Gustavsberg, an antique piece designed and manufactured between 1920 and 1945, making it almost 100 years old.
Here, many meals are served on a single plate, so we often enjoy meat or fish and potatoes with plenty of sauce.
In a Japanese home, it's just the right size to hold about two servings of curry. It would also be great for serving gravy with roast beef. Feel free to use it however your imagination inspires you.
This particular dish, named "Öresund," features seagulls gracefully flying along its rim. The colors are a deep, dark blue.
It's a beautiful ceramic design that still holds its appeal today.
Öresund refers to the strait between Malmö, a city in southern Sweden, and Copenhagen. Today, a long bridge connects them, allowing travel by car or train, but in the past, people commuted to Copenhagen by ferry or hydrofoil.

(Condition): There is crazing on the inside. There is a small scratch in one place. Overall, considering it's a ceramic piece from about 100 years ago, it's in good condition, a beautiful condition for an antique.
