Introducing a very cute family of parent and child bird figurines from Nittsjö. The rustic feel of the clay combined with the glazed design is characteristic of Thomas's style. The red chest suggests it might be a Domhare (bullfinch). In Sweden, it is a very popular wild bird, representing winter. Its distinctive features include a plump, round body and a vibrant red chest. The designer is Thomas Hellström. Nittsjö is a historic ceramic kiln founded in 1843. Even today, it produces trolls and terracotta figurines.
Thomas joined Nittsjö in 1958 and created many squirrel, moose, and wild animal figurines. Born in 1924 in America, he was from Gothenburg, Sweden's second-largest city. His works are highly popular among vintage fans. This time, we are looking for someone to welcome a family of three friendly parent and child birds.
