Nittsjö Keramik/Thomas Hellström/Bambi figurine

Introducing a charming Bambi fawn figurine from Nittsjö, with adorable round, black eyes.
The design is by Thomas Hellström. Nittsjö is a historic ceramic kiln established in 1843. It still produces items such as trolls and terracotta figurines. Its appeal lies in its lively pieces that utilize the natural qualities of the clay. This little fawn, made from unglazed red clay with glazed patterns and fired, beautifully showcases the rustic texture of the earth.
Thomas joined Nittsjö in 1958 and has created numerous animal figurines, including squirrels, moose, and other wild animals. His work is highly popular among vintage enthusiasts.
Born in 1924 in the US, he was from Gothenburg, Sweden's second-largest city.
