Nittsjö/Thomas Hellström/Squirrel Figurine

Introducing a squirrel figurine from Nittsjö, designed by Thomas Hellström. Nittsjö is a historic ceramic kiln established in 1843, and still produces trolls and terracotta figurines today.
Thomas joined Nittsjö in 1958 and created many figurines of squirrels, moose, and wild animals. His works are very popular among vintage fans.
This piece is quite large. Its big black eyes look as if they are alive. The fluffy tail is also very cutely rendered.
Born in 1924 in the United States, Thomas Hellström was from Gothenburg, Sweden's second-largest city.
