Nittsjö/Knit Shoe/Thomas Hellström/Cute smiling girl and cat

This is a charming piece by Nittsjö, featuring a girl and a cat smiling together. The matching necklaces are a lovely touch. The design is by Thomas Hellström. Nittsjö is a historic ceramic kiln founded in 1843, and still produces items such as trolls and terracotta figurines.
Thomas joined Nittsjö in 1958 and has created numerous squirrel, moose, and wild animal figurines. Born in America in 1924, he hailed from Gothenburg, Sweden's second-largest city. His works are highly popular among vintage enthusiasts.
