This is a ceramic plaque from Jie Gantofta, part of the proceeds of which were donated to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
The designer is Staffan Johnson, who created designs based on birds and animals found in the Swedish wilderness.
This particular piece depicts a Salmon (Lax), the symbol of Halland County, where the shop owner resides. In the past, it was common to catch large salmon weighing over 10 kg in the rivers, but they are now a rare sight.
The design is meticulously detailed and three-dimensional, giving the impression that the salmon is about to leap out of the plaque.
The white ceramic base was frequently used from the 1980s onwards.
It would make a lovely decoration for your entryway or any other favorite spot.
