This ceramic plaque from Jie Gantofta features cherry blossoms on a white background, framed by a glossy white border.
With a touch of gold in the background, it's a very elegantly designed ceramic plaque.
The designer is Nietosvuori Aimo, a star designer who worked for Jie Gantofta the longest and was in charge of design. He joined the company in 1967 and stayed until its closure in 1992. He created numerous beautiful Swedish landscape and floral motif ceramic plaques.
The cherry blossom ceramic plaque was Aimo's last work for Jie, produced in 1992 when the Jie kiln closed down.
