Introducing a lovely wild strawberry ceramic plaque from Jie Gantofta.
In Sweden, a favorite place that you want to share with others is called a "Smultron ställe," meaning "wild strawberry patch." Wild strawberries are sweet, tangy, and fragrant.
This piece beautifully captures their charm.
The design is by Nietosvuori Aimo, the star designer who worked longest at Jie Gantofta, overseeing designs from 1967 until the company's end in 1992. He created numerous floral motifs for Swedish landscapes and ceramic flower plaques.
This piece, with its glossy dark green and black border, was produced and sold between the 1960s and 1970s.
It's back in stock after a long time.
(Size): 18cm x 22cm, Thickness: 1cm,
