Jie Gantofta/Ji Gantofta/Ceramic Plaque/Proverb Series/Pair of Birds and Nordic Flowers

This is a wonderful ceramic plaque from Jie Gantofta, depicting a Swedish proverb surrounded by Nordic flowers, with lovely three-dimensional birds designed at the bottom.
The proverb illustrates that birds intentionally build their nests near homes to protect themselves from predators, and the chicks born there feel safest. This is a slightly larger ceramic plaque.
The design is by Nietosvuori Aimo, a star designer who worked for Jie Gantofta the longest, from his employment in 1967 until the very end in 1992. He created numerous beautiful Swedish landscape flower motifs and flower plaques.
The white ceramic base was frequently used starting in the 1980s.
