Jie Gantofta/Flower Girl/Blue/20cm

Introducing a flower girl from Jie Gantofta. Jie is a historic brand established in 1942 in Gantofta, a town in southern Sweden. In 1992, it was acquired by another company and effectively ceased operations. It is famous for ceramic plaques with flower motifs and girl figurines.
The design is by Elsi Bourelius. She is the designer who created the first interior ceramic figurines for Jie. This lovely flower girl, dressed in Swedish folk costume, has a bright blue glaze. She is the original flower girl. This is her first arrival in a long time.
She is even more striking when adorned with wildflowers or dried flowers.
