This is a Linnea flower quietly blooming in the forest of Jie Gantofta. It is the heart flower of the Swedish people. With delicate pink, adorable flowers and round leaves, naturally growing Linnea flowers have become scarce in recent times. Due to its popularity, it has been used as a motif by Stig Lindberg and many other designers.
The design is by Aimo Nietosvuori.
This is a rare and unusual ceramic plate, deep like a soup bowl, with a design not often seen. The pure white, snowdrop-like flowers make it a very charming piece.
It is a work from the 1960s-1970s.
(Size): Diameter: 20cm, Height: approx. 4cm
(Country of origin): Sweden
(Designer): Nietosvuori Aimo
(Period): 1967 - 1992
(Condition): No noticeable chips or cracks, and in very good condition for a vintage item.
As Jie ceramic plates are handmade, there may be some slight distortions, but this does not affect their appearance when displayed. Please understand that this is part of the handmade charm.
