Introducing a figurine of Nils and Morten the goose from "The Wonderful Adventures of Nils" by Jie Gantofta. While Jie is known for its flower girl figurines and ceramic plaques, this particular figurine of Nils and Morten is a rare find.
Jie is a historical brand established in 1942 in Gantofta, a town in southern Sweden. The factory closed down in 1992. Many designers, such as Lisa Larson and Gabi Citron, left their mark. Jie is famous for its ceramic plaques with flower motifs, girl figurines, and figurines of Swedish wild animals and birds.
Southern Sweden is also the home of geese.
