Jie Gantofta/Jie Gantofta/Ceramic Plaque/Hallon/Raspberry

This is a very charming white ceramic tile with a Hallon/raspberry motif from Jie Gantofta.
Summer in Scandinavia is truly a berry paradise, with wild raspberries growing abundantly in fields and forests. Although slightly smaller than cultivated varieties, they are very sweet and delicious. Raspberry jam is an essential part of various baked goods and breakfasts.
The design is by Nietosvuori Aimo, a star designer who worked for Jie Gantofta the longest and was responsible for many designs. He joined the company in 1967 and stayed until its closure in 1992. He created numerous beautiful ceramic tiles featuring Swedish landscape flowers and floral motifs.
White ceramic bases were frequently used from the 1980s onwards.
