Introducing a miniature ceramic long boot figurine from Höganäs.
Höganäs is a ceramic kiln with a very long history, existing since 1797. Its distinctive feature is that it's made from stoneware, which can be described as a finer-grained and more durable material compared to other ceramic works.
The design is by Gösta Holm. He was the brother of Åke Holm and mainly produced miniature shoes and boots. It is believed to be a work from the early 1900s to the 1920s. It is very precisely crafted and perfectly matches the glossy texture of Höganäs stoneware. He created numerous miniature series works with artists like John Anderson. This time, we have received this boot and a pair of clogs, which are commonly worn here.
