Gustavsberg/Lisa Larson/Rundel/Ceramic panel/Butterfly/Turquoise

This is a wall-mounted ceramic plate by Lisa Larson, a leading Swedish ceramist, from the Rundel series.
It is an unusual piece for a ceramic plate. "Rundel" is Swedish for "round," and a butterfly is designed in relief within a round frame.
Despite its size, it is quite heavy and substantial.
This piece was produced and sold for a short period between 1969 and 1972.
There are designs featuring birds and butterflies. These pieces are rarely seen.
