Introducing the Berså teacup and saucer, a masterpiece by Stig Lindberg, a well-known icon of Scandinavian tableware.
Berså enjoys great popularity in Sweden and Japan.
The vibrant young leaf design on white bone china is undeniably popular with both men and women.
Vintage items have the Berså young leaf design on the bottom of the saucer.
In Japan, it is known as "Berså," but here it is written as "Berså" and pronounced "beso."
The meaning of Berså/beso is a place where plants are used as a fence in a town or a corner of a park, with a bench next to it for taking a break, but it seems to be a word that is not used much anymore.

Size: Diameter: 8.5cm, Height: 5.8cm, Saucer: 15.8cm, Capacity: approx. 230ml

Country of Origin: SWEDEN

Designer: Stig Lindberg

Year: 1960 - 1974

Condition: No noticeable chips or cracks. There is slight paint loss, but it is not very noticeable. The matte finish of the young leaf decor is not very distracting. It has a good sheen for a vintage item and is in beautiful condition. The saucer shows little sign of use and is very clean. The whitish areas seen on the right are due to light reflection.
