As you all know, this is a very rare pitcher from Berså, a masterpiece by Stig Lindberg, a representative of Scandinavian tableware.
Berså enjoys great popularity in Sweden and Japan.
The vibrant young leaf design on white bone china is highly popular with both men and women, which is understandable.
Vintage items have the Berså young leaf design on the bottom of the saucer.
In Japan, it's known as Berså, but here it's written as Berså and read as "bersho."
The meaning of Berså is a place in a city or a corner of a park where plants are used as a fence, and there's a bench beside it for a rest, but it seems to be a word not used much anymore.
It's back in stock after a long time.
