Introducing a teacup and saucer from Gustavsberg's "Apotek" line, released by a Swedish pharmacy of the time.
While Swedish pharmacies are now privatized, they were under state control until fairly recently. This item was released during that period.
The designer is Pia Röndahl.
She worked at Gustavsberg from 1980 to 1993. Afterwards, she opened her own studio, and from 1993 to 2005, she designed items such as "Sundborn" for Rörstrand.
Since it was released by Apotek (pharmacy), the design features flowers that were once used in herbal medicine. This particular design depicts Papaver somniferum (opium poppy). The pink digitalis flowers and cobalt green leaves and stems on the white bone china create a beautiful piece. With a generous capacity of 400ml, it's also perfect for soup. The handle is designed to resemble wings, making it very comfortable to hold.

(Condition): There are slight scuffs on the saucer where the cup rests. Other than that, there are no noticeable cracks or chips, and it has a good luster, making it a very beautiful condition for a vintage item.
