Introducing a bird figurine, meticulously crafted with a keen eye for the characteristics of small birds. Each piece is carefully finished, paying close attention to the clay, glaze, and firing process.
The design is by Gunna Hansson, a ceramist.
He was born in Lomma, southern Sweden, in 1913 and passed away in 2007. This particular piece is a small bird with a bisque-fired body, made from reddish-brown clay.
He owned his own studio and created many birds and owls.
This is a magnificent work that utilizes the characteristics of the clay, creating a bird that looks as if it could spring to life at any moment.
