This is a Boda/Kosta Boda handmade glass mushroom series fly agaric ornament.
The design is by Monica Backstrom.
Her work became famous in the 1970s with her mushroom glass objects.
This particular piece features a beautiful design with subtle specks of color embedded within the red glass. The fly agaric mushroom comes in this color and also a salmon pink color. This is the largest size mushroom.
It is a handmade art piece.
Because it is hollowed out at the bottom, when a light is shone from below, it illuminates beautifully. However, please do not use tea candles or similar items.
