This is a mushroom ornament from the Boda handmade glass mushroom series, specifically the fly agaric.
The design is by Monica Backstrom.
Her work became famous in the 1970s with her glass mushroom sculptures.
This particular piece features a beautiful design with subtle speckles of color scattered within the red glass. The fly agaric is available in this color and salmon pink.
It is a handmade art piece.
Since the bottom is hollowed out, it illuminates beautifully when a light is placed underneath. However, please do not use tea candles.
