Presenting a charming glass owl parent and child figurine, handcrafted by BODA, designed by Monica Bäckström.
Monica Bäckström was born in Stockholm in 1939. Her parents were textile designers, and she grew up exposed to art from a young age.
She later studied at art school and joined BODA in 1964, coinciding with the company's 100th anniversary.
She lived with Erik Höglund for four years, and they had a child named Erika Höglund. Her well-known works include mushroom and egg figurines.
This piece features a brown base, conveying the texture of owl feathers. There is a hole at the bottom, so if you place an LED candle inside, it transforms into a beautiful owl lamp.
