Introducing a crystal glass ornament from the "Familjen / Family" series by Kosta Boda.
The design is by Göran Wärff and Ann Wärff. Their representative work is "Sunflower", which we have also featured in our shop, but this piece uses very clear crystal glass and is quite heavy.
Each face is humorously hand-painted. This mother figure, made of heavy, transparent crystal glass, is an artistic piece with beautiful hand-painting in gold on her hair and body.
These were annual items, with one released each year from 1970 to 1983.
This mother figure is the first piece, manufactured and sold in 1970. This time, we are introducing a collection of 8 family members, from baby to grandparents, from 1970 to 1977! This young lady was manufactured and sold in 1973.
There is a handwritten signature on the bottom.
