Introducing a three-piece set of a cup, saucer, and plate from Bing & Gröndal, featuring the original design by Harald Wiberg, called Tomten i Stensjöby. The rims of the saucer and plate are adorned with star-shaped openwork designs. According to Nordic folklore, the "tomte" is a very small house spirit that has lived in farm stables since ancient times, inspecting the house, and is considered a very benevolent little helper. This charming design depicts a tomte sharing food with a cat in the quiet of the night. Harald Wiberg, born in Sweden in 1908, was a painter and illustrator. Among his works, this tomte design is a popular collector's item and considered one of his masterpieces.
