Introducing a seal figurine manufactured by Arabia for the WWF World Wide Fund for Nature. The WWF World Wide Fund for Nature, established in 1961, has been active in biodiversity conservation, sustainable resource use, climate change prevention, and ocean and forest protection. In Sweden, many prominent designers, including Lisa Larson, have created works for the WWF. The design is by Lillemor Mannerheim (1927-1994). She was a ceramist and illustrator, known for her animal works for Gefle and Rörstrand. She was a countess who moved to Finland and lived in a castle after her husband passed away. It was then that Arabia commissioned her to create works for the WWF, and she produced this series. In addition to this seal, there are many other animal works.
