Introducing a seal figurine produced by Arabia for the WWF World Wide Fund for Nature. The WWF World Wide Fund for Nature, established in 1961, has been active in biodiversity conservation, sustainable resource use, climate change prevention, and marine and forest protection. Many prominent designers in Sweden, including Lisa Larson, have created works for them. The design is by Lillemor Mannerheim (1927-1994). She was a ceramist and illustrator, specializing in animal works for Gefle and Rörstrand. She was a countess who moved to Finland and lived in a castle after her husband's death. It was then that Arabia commissioned her to create works for the WWF fund, leading to this series. In addition to this seal, there are many other animal works.
