This is a coffee cup and saucer from the Arabia/Uhtua series.
Uhtua means "lake." Finland is a land of forests and lakes, and people in the Nordic countries enjoy the short summer by going on picnics, swimming, and barbecuing at the lake.
The design by Inkeri Leivo is based on Ulla Procope's S model form. The refreshing beauty of the lake is expressed through a slightly hazy, thick light blue line, tightened by thin gray-beige and black lines.
