Introducing the Paratiisi oval plate, designed by Birger Kaipiainen from Arabia.
Paratiisi, a familiar and beloved pattern in Japan, is still in production.
The colored Paratiisi was first released in 1969 and was so popular that it quickly sold out.
The version with the viola flower decorated in color on the reverse side was sold from 1969 to 1974. The next version, released from 1987, has a backstamp with a leaf drawn on the left. This particular item is a vintage oval plate manufactured and sold in 1987, and this size is no longer available today.
Compared to current products, this plate is heavier and has a handmade feel.

(Condition) : No noticeable cracks or chips. There is some bleeding in the viola decoration. There is a small indentation on the side of the reverse where the glaze has been applied.
Otherwise, it is in beautiful condition with good luster for a vintage item.
