This ceramic tile from Arabia depicts a dazzling early summer landscape in Finland.
Nordic houses are often very colorful and lovely, in red or yellow. This particular piece features a charming red house with crisp white window frames. In the garden, a Finnish flag flutters in the wind.
The design is by Helja Liukko Sundström.
She joined Arabia in 1962 and moved to the art department in 1967, where she created numerous ceramic tiles. By around 2000, she had produced nearly 200 different works.
Her motifs combine Finnish nature, wild flowers, buildings, and animals, with rabbits and penguins being particularly popular. Her highly artistic works, with their fairy-tale touch, are captivating.
For items weighing 2kg or less, we will ship them as standard letter mail unless otherwise specified by the customer. Customers who are concerned may wish to purchase the trackable REK2000 (registered mail) option.
