Introducing a vertical oval ceramic tile from Arabia, with a hook attached so it can be hung on a wall.
The design is by Helja Liukko Sundström.
She joined Arabia in 1962 and moved to the art department in 1967, where she created many ceramic tiles and ceramic objects.
By around 2000, she had produced nearly 200 different works.
Her motifs often combine Finnish nature, wildflowers, buildings, and animals, with rabbits and penguins being particularly popular. Her highly artistic works, with their fairytale-like touch, are captivating.
Helja's works are characterized by their refined use of colors, mixed with pearl, which redefined the traditional image of ceramic tiles.
This particular piece is a wonderful work featuring flowers displayed by a window and very impressive window curtains.
This time, three of Helja's ceramic tiles have arrived.
The size is neither too large nor too small, making it an impactful piece when displayed in a room.
