Introducing a small ceramic art tile from Arabia, perfect for wall display.
The design is by Helja Liukko-Sundström.
She joined Arabia in 1962 and moved to the art department in 1967, where she created numerous ceramic art tiles. By around 2000, she had produced nearly 200 different works.
Her motifs combine Finnish nature, wild flowers, buildings, and animals, with a particularly large number of rabbits and penguins. Her highly artistic works with a fairytale touch are enchanting.
This particular piece, created in her studio, depicts a poignant scene of looking at a lake from behind reeds, with colors characteristic of Nordic design, making it a truly beautiful art tile.
