Jie Gantofta/Hannes Johansson/Birth of a Chick/No. 2

This is a very valuable art piece from Jie Gantofta, created in the 1960s, depicting the moment a chick hatches from an egg.
The design was created by Hannes Johansson.
The gaze of the newly hatched chick is very lively in this piece.
This is an object of a chick that has just broken out of its eggshell.
There are various sizes and pieces with slightly different expressions of the moment of birth, but this one is small enough to fit comfortably in one hand.
