Introducing two miniature blue birds and a leaf ornament from Höganäs.
Höganäs is a very historic ceramic kiln that has existed since 1797. Its distinctive feature is that it is made of stoneware, which is finer-grained and perhaps more durable than other ceramic works.
The design is by John Andersson. He was a leading figure at Höganäs, and a designer active in the same era as Bengt Frieberg and Gunnar Nylund of Rörstrand. He created many miniature series.
These charming pieces, with their rounded shapes and adorable presence, are full of character. We are selling a set of blue and brown-toned birds and a leaf, in different colors.
His works are exhibited in the National Museum of Sweden and other institutions.
These are rare pieces, not often seen in the market, and popular among collectors.
Items weighing 2kg or less will be shipped as letter mail unless otherwise specified by the customer. If you are concerned, we recommend purchasing items with REK2000 (registered mail) tracking.
