This is an object from Boda/Boda's handmade glass mushroom series, specifically a parasol mushroom.
The design is by Monica Backstrom.
Her work gained instant fame with her glass mushroom objects, which were released in the 1970s.
The parasol mushroom is a familiar mushroom in Europe, and while eating it raw can cause food poisoning, you don't have to worry about that with a glass mushroom. The color is an indescribable beige-pink, and the design, with subtle specks of color scattered within the glass, is truly beautiful. This is the second largest glass mushroom. This time, six different types of mushrooms have arrived for the first time.
This is a handcrafted art piece.
Since it's hollowed out at the bottom, when you shine a light from below, it glows beautifully. However, please absolutely do not use tea candles with it.
