Introducing a mini plate featuring Tomten i Stensjöby (the Tomte of Stensjöby) and a dog, an original design by Harald Wiberg for Bing & Gröndahl. In Nordic folklore, tomte are very small creatures said to have lived in farm stables since ancient times, inspecting houses and bringing good fortune. This heartwarming design depicts a tomte sharing food with a dog in the quiet of the night. Harald Wiberg was born in Sweden in 1908 and worked as a painter and illustrator. Among his works, these tomte designs are particularly popular collector's items. The plate has two holes on the back, so it can also be used as a wall hanging.
