Kåsa is a wooden cup from northern Sweden, traditionally used for drinking water. Nowadays, it is used for various purposes, including interior decoration.
This particular Kåsa is a handmade piece by a wood craftsman from Hemslöjd (a handicraft store). It's a small Kåsa, designed to be used as a salt cellar.
There are various types of Kåsa; some are simply carved out of wood, while others are carved and then intricately sculpted.
A spoon made from the same wood is included.
